SHOPPING

Vera Wang Lavender label flats, Cynthia Rowley sunglasses

While running some boring errands at TJ Maxx, I stumbled upon these amazing Spring pieces! I've always considered those "Be a Maxxin-ista!" commercials to be so cheesy, but they actually do have some great finds in there. The Vera Wang flats were only $69.99 and the Cynthia Rowley 70's-inspired round studded sunglasses were just $29.99. So amazing! I am extremely excited to wear the sunglasses with chunky wood heels or clogs and flared light wash jeans. More pictures of my back-to-the-70s outfit to come.

FLOWER CHILD

"I like perfume and flowers." - Donatella Versace

This spring and summer I am making a vow to myself to dress myself in as many flowers as possible! The hair brooch in the last picture is actually a really easy DIY. Just take silk flowers from a fabric store, twist some of them together in a combination that you like, and pin it in any hairstyle. Too simple and too cute.

BRAIDED GLORY

Most recent on my to-do list: attempt the braid on the top!  And fishtails are too cool.

NEW ARRIVALS

Wearing: Jewelmint "Desire" ring set, OPI "Not Like the Movies"

My Desire rings from Jewelmint have finally arrived! I ordered this set of 3 for just $29.99 when I became a club member online and I suggest everyone do the same! They were the perfect finishing touch  to my outfit today as I headed off for a job interview. The nail polish I'm wearing is from Katy Perry's line for OPI and is my new go-to color. Silver, pink, and green all in one color. Sparkly!

BELLE

SNAKE BITE

from top: Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2011, Topshop, Vogue March 2011 Issue (Burburry Porsum), Equipment, Erica Anenberg, Roberto Cavalli Campaign

What's the perfect solution when you're looking to add some venom to your outfit? Python is just the right accent for any look. I love the Equipment "chinchilla python" blouse because you can wear it so many ways. I would pair it with ripped jean shorts and a wide-brimmed sunhat for a day at the beach or heels and black skinny jeans for a night out. Easy as that.

CHUNKIER IS FUNKIER

From top: Prada, Jil Sander, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Jil Sander, Moschino, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Prada

Here's a whole new twist to the classic stripe! Designers such as Prada blew them up, producing a totally retro vibe. For the perfect Spring outfit, mix your prints! Pair these stripes with polka dot or floral pieces.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

from top: Elle March 2011, Christian Louboutin, Jil Sander, Jil Sander, Jil Sander, Nylon Magazine March 2011, Jimmy Choo, Tom Binns, Jewelmint)

Neon colors and bright hues are major for Spring. Such a breath of fresh air. I'm inspired by the looks from Jil Sander's Spring 2011 runway that I've seen everywhere. They make me want to inject some neon into my mostly-black-and-neutral wardrobe!

CALLING ALL GIRLS

Kate Bosworth teamed up with fashion stylist Cher Coulter last fall and an amazing line of jewelry was born. Tons of pieces are perfect to pair with your favorite chunky vintage rings or to wear with a bohemian inspired outfit. Literally, any girl can find something. Oh, and small detail. Club members online get a piece of jewelry every month for $29.99 with free shipping.  I’m sold.

FLASH

I’m not sure how, but I WILL manage to get my hands on one of these SANG A clutches from the FLASH collection for Spring 2011. The design is modern, abstract, and eye-catching. Perfect to pair with another crazy print or just a simple LBD. Amazing!
