NO DAY IS A BORING DAY

Those summer days when there's nothing to do sometimes end up being my favorites. I love to be able to relax while tanning and reading a great book. Here I am wearing some of my summer essentials before heading off in the afternoon:

Havaiana flip flops
Colorful cut-off shorts
Amazon Kindle
Zara cross-body bag
Basic button down
Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunglasses
Jeffrey Campbell cut-out oxfords
Neon Red American Apparel nailpolish

Currently on my reading list is Room by Emma Donoghue.

I WANT TO BE A WILDFOX

Let's try and point out any element that the Wildfox Fall 2011 collection doesn't have. I see 70's hippie fringe vests, psychedelic flowers and retro round frames. I see goth-inspired crosses and skulls. I see Hollywood glamour in the big furs, sequins and leopard accents. I see Nordic prints, lace, embroidery, etc, etc, etc. One thing is for sure: "wildfox" would be the only appropriate word to describe any girl with the courage to rock all of these looks. I'm pretty obsessed with this lookbook. What do you think?

About a week late, but here's to June. Don't go by too quickly.

CHANEL CRUISE 2011/2012

Oyster magazine provided coverage for Chanel's Cruise 2011/2012 collection. While still maintaining its signature sophistication, it boasted bright elements such as touches of sparkle, embroidery and even accents of bright yellow (or as Karl calls it - "Canary"). I especially love the fusion of masculine and feminine clothing. Basically, Karl Lagerfeld has me wishing I could dump my current closet and own every one of these looks.

Erin Wasson and Emily DiDonato were shot by Chad Pitman for the Replay Spring 2011 campaign. As if Erin wasn't cool enough already.

IM BACK!

Wow. It's been a VERY long while since my last post. The stress of school, packing and working distracted me a bit, but I'm back! I can't wait to start posting again. My summer has officially begun and I am back in Miami for the rest of my vacation. To kick it all off, my Memorial Day was spent in the island of Bimini in the Bahamas, where pretty much the rest of Miami relocated to for the weekend. Check it out!

Now that I have a little more time on my hands, I will be working on a new look to spruce up the blog, tons more posts and, of course, catching up on my own favorite blogs.
