So, I know it's kind of late in the month but I purposely wanted to wait until the end of December to post some extra-festive holiday pictures! I don't know about the rest of you, but my Christmas Eve (aka Noche Buena in Cuban lingo) will be spent consuming ridiculous amounts of lechón (roasted pork) at an extremely late hour and listening to a medley of Salsa, Merengue and Christmas music. There is no night of the year that I love more! I will try to get some outfit posts up of what I wear for the holidays. Merry Christmas everyone!!

BOBO GOES TO SOHO

scarf: H&M / shirt: Generation Love / jeans: Current Elliott / boots: Jeffrey Campbell / crossbody bag: Zara

Just for kicks, let's point out everything that I was in dire need of on this day. This is Christina sans make-up, sans coat and most importantly, sans tan. Judging by my awkward smile and pigeon-toed pose, I'm not too skilled at make-believing that this is how I regularly leave the apartment in 30 degree weather all for an outfit post. I wanted you guys to see my new "Bobo" shirt by Generation Love. One of the designers is a fellow co-worker at Intermix and her stuff is awesome. The Bobo seems to be a universal favorite considering it sells out like crazy in the store and I'm often approached by shoppers who are wondering where it's from. This is undoubtedly my winter go-to shirt since it goes with everything, including the furry animal that is discreetly (sarcasm) growing out of my neck. Click here to shop Generation Love!

HIDE YOUR NECKS

turtleneck: Gap / pants: Siwy / boots: Forever 21 / bag: Asos / jacket: Min-k

Ahhh, the dreaded outfit posts. I have to admit that I'm NOT so good at this, but I've taken some advantage of my boyfriend being in town to waltz around the city in cool outfits trying to pretend like I always have a photographer on-duty and wear perfectly put together looks on a daily basis. I will say that this is a nice break from the usual bun-on-top-of-head and leggings "I'm late to class again" ensemble. Anyway, I've featured some of my most prized closet possessions all in one outfit.
Exhibit A: oversized turtleneck (keyword: oversized). This season, the bigger your neck, the better. I actually bought this one on sale for something, like, $40 at The Gap 3 years ago for a ski trip. Little did I know that Stella, Chloe, Theory, Helmut Lang and friends would be competing for sweater's thickest neck seasons later and my steal would prove to be triumphant. You can check out a similar option by Vince here.
Exhibit B: Siwy leather pants. I think they speak for themselves.
Exhibit C: Min-k jacket. I love this thing so much I could practically sleep in it. Min-k NYC on Mott Street in NoLita is one of my favorite boutiques. I discovered it last year and try to stop by every once in a while to make off with something really special to add to my wardrobe. Every piece in the place is different and if you're a fellow New Yorker, you should stop by! This jacket has good vibes all around and I love weird-but-cool things (that's a pretty accurate description, don'tcha think?)

BY THE WAY..

Speaking of H&M, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 5 months, then you know H&M debuted an out-of-this-world collaboration with Versace. Now, we have something else to look forward to! The Marni for H&M collection will be out in Spring.
