FRIENDS

Let me introduce you all. Firstly, blogosphere, meet SLR camera. FINALLY, something to spruce up this page up! In honor of this milestone in the developmental process of FashionStamina, it would only make sense to have a celebratory outfit post. So, here I give you: the most boring outfit post you're ever gonna get. By that, I mean nothing too exciting or Vogue-worthy to feast your eyes on like you may find in some other blogs that have been around for longer, just some experimental shots taken in Auto-mode. Patience is key, friends, and the Instruction manual to this baby is going to take me days to learn. So here I am, you know, just walking out the door... standard action shot:
This Helmet Lang skirt is another friend I'd like you to meet. Instead of business in the front & party in the back, this skirt has business on one side and party on the other. I fooled ya with the innocent maxi-skirt getup did I? Just a double-take later and your checking out some serious leg action -- aka. the perfect opportunity to flaunt new shoes. On with the standard candid shot:
Incase you're wondering, the sweater on my upper half resembling a sack was once metallic. I still love it in all of it's worn out glory. Cue expected posed shot:
Sweater: H&M / Skirt: Helmut Lang / Shoes: Zara

HAPPY WEEKEND!

ANIMAL INSTINCTS

Asos, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Topshop, Wildfox

This whole dog-face-on-sweater Fall trend is so nerdy and I love it. My favorite looks have to be the Wildfox bathing suits because of how different they are than the usual swimsuit. And, of course, because you can never go wrong with Wildfox!

WEARING WALLPAPER

Balenciaga, Asos, Caroline's Mode, Celine via Style by Kling, Joujou Villeroy, Tibi, Caroline's Mode

I'm loving this wallpaper print trend for Fall! It gives me the excuse to not feel obligated to completely chuck all florals from my winter wardrobe and add some color to my array of black and grey knits. These kind of remind me of walls you would see in a quaint little hotel room in Italy or patterns from the Baroque era. So if you don't have the budget for Balenciaga, Celine or Stella, check out the Asos or Tibi options. Or, if you really need to, rip that paper off the bathroom wall that you've always hated and put it to better use!

THE BOX BAG

Akris, The Row, Alexander Wang, Celine, Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Melie Bianco, Sophie Hulme

Ugh.. the things I would do to get my hands on Mary Kate and Ashley's bags from The Row. If you are loving the structured bags as much as I am, check out Asos for some more affordable options. I'm sure you'll thank me when you realize you can wear these with anything.

HOORAY FOR ANDROGYNY

Akira Naka A/W 2011, Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2011, Jason Wu A/W 2011, Ruffian A/W 2011, Tom Ford A/W 2011

I've always been a fan of throwing a black or white blazer over anything to add a cool sophisticated touch. But maybe it's time to toughen things up a bit. The womens tuxedo trend has been intermittent since the 70s and has crept its way back and into tons of Fall collections. Personally, I'm not too fond of the velvetty-all-over Tom Ford pair, but I do appreciate how it manages to be masculine and glamorous at the same time. What do you guys think of the tuxedo revival?
